Style chart boxes
Chart administrator role required
The Box Styling section in the Side Panel and Settings page allows you to customize the appearance of chart boxes so your organization charts align with your preferences or corporate branding.
Change the appearance of your chart boxes
- Enter Edit Mode.
-
Expand a styling section:
- Layout: Choose from layouts such as No Photo, Photo Left, Photo Right, Contact Card, Custom, and Teams.
- Size: Select a predefined chart box size or define a custom size.
- Visual style: Choose styles such as gradient, hatched, or outline.
- Box color: Select a default color, use the color picker, enter a hex code, or apply one of your saved brand colors.
- Border style: Choose a solid, dotted, or dashed border and set the border color.
- Make your styling changes. They appear immediately on the chart so you can preview them in context, but they are not applied permanently until you select Save Changes.
Style different box types
You can configure separate styles for different chart box types, such as standard employee boxes, vacant positions, temporary positions, and departments. This helps viewers distinguish permanent reporting lines from planned, temporary, or visual chart boxes.

Chart box styling templates can be used across all of your charts.
